Costa wanted…

…to create a buzz surrounding their TVC launch campaign, ‘Never a Dull Cup’.

Solution

We created a viral hidden-camera video to capture the shock and amazement of the public inside a central London Costa.

It was no ordinary Costa Coffee shop, however, as UNILAD had sourced a ‘flare barista’ from Italy to be the star of the show, showcasing his behind-the-bar barista talents to an unknowing audience.

UNILAD also used Wildfire (our social amplification agency) to post the video to various food & drink accounts across social media.

Insights

The video was viewed 8.2m times and reached over 25m people with almost 4.5k comments.
